Baja Trip Videos

Just thought I would share our trip from March 2020 obviously prepandemic.

The videos are pretty rough as I'm still learning how to film and edit but I hope you enjoy it.

The link is to my YouTube playlist

Welcome to Nomad!
I watched one of the videos (so far).
Did you guys go to Santa Marta and then discover the map was wrong; that you couldn't drive on to San Francisco de la Sierra from there?
Baja is a land of fun and adventure... and for many of us, best done in a Toyota 4x4!

Mission churches and ruins are all about the peninsula. Just watched your coverage of ComondĂș... I am a big fan of the missions... and find them to be a big attraction for how amazing considering where they were built! My group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bajamissions

David, Thanks for watching! Honestly David I'm not that familiar with Baja and all the different tracks so I can't answer your question at this time. I'll have to look on the map and discuss it with my buddy John.

I agree a Toyota is really the go-to vehicle although, I do have plans in a few years to purchase a Land Rover Discovery as a second four-wheel drive vehicle.

David,

I couldn't agree more. Just traveling the Camino is a true blessing and seeing these beautiful cathedrals was the highlight for me. I'll definitely plan and going back and spending more time checking out cathedrals. I think my favorite so far was san Javier. I know some people will probably disagree with me but some of the towns along the to Sea of Cortez side were fantastic So far my favorite photographically was Santa Rosalia. Yes it does not have really nice beaches nearby but the town itself photographically was intriguing. The odd aspect of Santa Rosalia was it felt like a very Mexican only town. What I mean by that is sure the gringos can have Mulege to the south but this is our town vibe. Perhaps I'm wrong maybe somebody with more experience of the peninsula can chime in on this? I sort of hope I'm wrong.

David thanks for the link to your Facebook group I'll check it out.

Just for fun I'll include my flicker album of images if you're interested?

Thanks... great...
Because I write about the missions, I function as a teacher as well... at least on the few things I am pretty well versed at:
Baja Travel
Baja Missions
4WD driving
Irrigation (my business for the last 40 years, now retired).

The mission churches in Baja are not cathedrals... as I learned a while back after calling the big churches that! LOL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral#:~:text=A%20cathedra...

Enjoy my website for more Baja (maps, history, trip photos, group events): www.vivabaja.com There is a big mission section there that I made before writing my book... the data is not as accurate or up-to-date as my book.

I live in North San Diego County, perhaps after Covid we will meet over a cold one?
