Loreto April 2021
We went to Loreto and had a couple hours to kill before our friends flew in.
This is a wooden boat filled with plants. So wonderful!
These banners down a path between stores:
Here is the mission church.
These next two photos were crafts in one of the stores.
We were there on a Saturday, so there was a farmer's market with lots of goodies. They had champurrado with tamarind added. It was absolutely
delicious (although I prefer thick champurrado). The farmer's market was so quiet, it is so sad.

Nice. My friend went down there last week and said there was hardly anyone around.

It really is sad to see how empty the town is.

Packed and ready to go ! it's been almost 2 years since I've been down
there. I've got my wallet full and plan on having a great time away from the spring snow here in Colorado.
Miss my friends and miss the days on the water.
Viva Baja.

ligui I have no idea where Santo Domingo is???? It kind of sounds like Baja norte and we are Baja Sur.
We are on our way to Loreto tomorrow to drop off our friends and then all the way down to La Paz to renew my passport. Back next weekend.

I think he meant Santa Rosalia? (paperwork?)
Santo Domingo was once the biggest town on the Magdalena Plain (before Constitución and Insurgentes). It is southwest of Loreto, north of
Insurgentes. The back road to San Javier originates near it at Km. 27:

La Bocana is out past Punta Abreojos, west from San Ignacio:
