Highway to Hell!

There are now 3 different ways to go. The Sentri is straight back up the same road you enter in to Mexico on. The general lanes are divided between the old way along the border wall from the east past the water tower (3 Lanes) and the new way from the west along the fence (2 lanes)

The way from the east passes through the underground way just opened! Personally I can't recommend sitting in a trench full of running cars for 90 min. One driver freaked out and had to back out against traffic! My neighbor was in line at the east crossing for 3 hours Sunday last! At least there was air circulation!

If you have Sentri, why would you want to suffer thru going to East? I went up last week and drove straight into the Sentri lane at west no problem. For the life of me I can't figure out the love of East going north.

My GF lives about 2 miles from East and even before I had Sentri I would drive to West and pass the 500 cars in line usually to get across in less than an hour. Now if I leave from her place i will take West to save the drive across Mexicali but that is using Sentri.

Look for Avenida de los Presidentes. It’s a wide four or six lane street, the left northbound lane of which becomes the Sentri lane.

Bajazly, are their signs heading up Calzada de los Presidenties that will direct you to the SENTRI lane?

Yes but you pretty much drive straight into it. Stay left as you approach and you can't miss it.

Go to Google Maps and put the from as Mexicali and to as Calexico.

It will use the Sentri route.

Google Maps is still not up to date, But you can see from the picture below coming up Hwy5 will require you to divert to Calzada de Los Presidentes. Then look closely for my “S” in two places where the Sentri entrance is.
This route was confirmed by bajalzy above.
This entrance takes you under the cloverleaf that is the standard lanes overpass coming from the west along the border fence.
I think if your take Hwy5 all the way to the border fence and turn left you will find the detour signs that will lead you to Presidentes south of the entrance?

Or be brave and follow the Google Map directions and see where it takes you.
