High wind report from Mulege....
We are having VERY STRONG northerlies yesterday and especially today...gusts to 45mph making it extremely rough on the water. Been blowing all day
long. No planes in or out of the Serinadad in this mini-chubasco! Dust everywhere.
So windy on our patio the dog had to back up to bark.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

the palms are bending....
get indoors and stay there is the rule in Mulege today. Although it could be a blast on a windsurfer...or my catamaran!

there is dust on everything here in town and the dust is the size of beach sand.

La Mision
is blowing away also. Heavy winds for the last 2 days. Let up for awhile last night right at sunset. The wind sure is nice for one thing, clears out
all the junk and leaves everything clear and beautiful. This morming it's trying to blow us into the ocean,k

Winds in BCS
What winds? Here in Loreto, we are having balmy days, and incredible sunshine. Gust maybe to 2 mph. That must be why everyone is coming to Loreto
than Mulege.
Just kiddin'. We're getting them too. Right now, it's starting to get gusty again.
We've got six Navy ships anchored outside the harbor, and two small "chasers" anchored in the marina. Rumor was running that Presidente Fox was
coming to dedicate the new seawall Pemex station at Puerto Escondido today. We drove down and found they were painting the curbs, installing the
fueling hose, (wonder if they remembered to put the fuel in or not) sweeping the main street to the seawall, planted a bunch of cactus in the center
planter down the blvd. And about fifteen or twenty military personel hanging around the sea wall. But I think there are maybe six boats moored in
the main harbor, when before they started charging the outrageous fees of $150.00 to $300.00 a month there must have been over 40 boats moored there.
El Presidente would most likely say, "wheres all the boats that used to be here" and I would give anything to hear the response to that question.
(they all moved out to the 'waiting room' or "left town" so to speak. Then late yesturday, the town crier was telling everyone Fox cancelled his
trip to Loreto. He had also planned to visit Loreto Bay, but a U.S. Gov't big shot scheduled a visit to Mexico City, and he wasn't able to come and
visit us.

San Felipe was pretty gusty yesterday. This morning it's not a s bad but time will tell. Our rumor was that Pres. Fox was to be in El Golfo
dedicating a new costal highway to Puerto Penasco today.

Wind Still Howling around Mulege....
Batten down the hatches...it's too windy to haul rocks! This photo this morning from the microandas tower south of Mulege. Forget about fishing.
