My dog experience on my trip over the past three weeks:
San Ignacio - La Huerta: Dog OK, $200 peso per dog charge. In restaurant, on patio, and on property grounds no problem (leash optional).
Scorpion Bay Hotel: Dog OK. No charge. In restaurant and property grounds no problem (leash optional).
Mulege - La Serenidad Hotel. Dog OK. I think there was a $100 peso charge. Left dog in room for most of the stay.
Loreto - La Mision - Dog OK, $100 DOLLAR charge per dog. Did not stay. Again, my previous experience there has NOT been like this. Typically, it's
fine.
Loreto - Oasis - Dog OK. $100 peso charge. In restaurant patio, on beach, and on property grounds no problem (leash optional).
Gurrero Negro - Los Caracoles - Dog OK. No problem; No fee. My pup met the hotel pooch (I think his name was "Vino Solo") and they hung out a bit in
the parking lot and on our patio.

Good info thanks. La Mission seem shocking and way off the norm, hopefully a one time thing.

I just dont get why people get their panties in a wad over The Baja! I love the Baja...aka peninsula and mexicanos use La Baja all the time...so
there! haha
Here at La Bufadora Inn we are pet friendly...reluctantly...I like to say it depends on the pet. If it is an aggressive male dog and the owners are
irresponsible and let it run around peeing on everthing...um no thanks.
I beg of you dog owners (I have 2 but dont travel with them or need to take them into restaurants) that you be a responsible pet owner and bring
their own bed...I really hate it when people let their dogs on our beds...grrrr. If hotels dont charge a pet fee...we dont...leave a nice tip for the
poor cleaners who have to do alot of extra cleaning. Keep your dog controlled and not running all over the place peeing on stuff and control barking
so as not to disturb the other guests.

La Mision is gouging dog owners and blaming the pandemic. It's OK to call them on BS in your negotiation with them. First, ask for the Manager.
Ask to speak privately. Tell him you'll pay $5.00. He counters with $75. You counter with $10.00 and tell him you'll be spending $100.00
on food and drinks. Tell him you tip house keeping well.
Be polite and professional. Practice your ''counters.'' I love negotiating.

Baja hotels are mostly dog friendly, and the extra charge is worth it for a decent room close to a walking area, but lately more guests seem to be
challenging hotel keepers to ban dogs in rooms altogether.
When I hear “they’re friendly” it’s a red flag for an off-leash slobbering, pushy canine with no manners heading straight for trouble. Dogs
that howl in the room while their family is out, that don’t get any exercise during their stay and that have to attend happy hour are not having a
good Baja day. And the destruction some dogs leave in a room (anywhere) means responsible pet owners have to pay extra put up with the designated pet
room.
Baja dogs are a different matter - usually having learned some good pack manners and largely predictable behaviours…one of my favourite Baja things
is a well-seasoned night security bark alarm system protecting a neighbourhood long into the morning🤣
When the way comes to an end, then change. Having changed, you pass through.

This is why hotel pet cleaning fee should be $100 US dollars.
If you don’t like dogs peeing one everything, then get a female dog.
Boy dogs pee on everything.
P.s I have dogs. I leave them at home, too much work and inconvenience to travel with them.

JZ, you may have ruined it for all other dog owners with that stunt. If motel guests are lucky, the sheets are washed each day... but the comforter is
not. Animal dander, hair, and insects, should stay on the floor in hotel rooms, if in there at all. I am a dog and cat lover, but I do not want to lay
down where your dog was, sorry.
