Tires for ATV
I need to bring down new tires for my Grizzly 600. My question is - should I buy them in the states and pay duty at the border - or buy them in Baja?
If the later, any suggestions on where to by them in Baja? We are in BOLA so I suppose it would have to be TJ, Ensenada or maybe San Felipe.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Blew out my side wall on my truck tire. Getting a decent spare in La Paz was not cheap.
You'll have a lot better price and selection in the US. I'd skip the duty, personally.

I bought a set of relative inexpensive ATV tires from Rocky Mtn ATV. They were Kenda Bearclaw tires and they came compressed together with a fiber
band around them. They were very easy to conceal, FWIW. Seriously, it was about the size of a single tire, but even narrower.
I recently bought some golf cart tires to bring down and they came packaged the same way. I imagine I will treat them the same.
I would buy up here and bring them down. The last time I bought ATV tires in Mexico, it was more expensive than buying the tires in the States AND
paying the duty. I got charged the typical 16% VAT the one time, but I know others who were charged much more than 16%. That was more recent than my
initial experience that was about 8 years ago.

Thanks for the input. I'll buy up here then. Much easier to do and no doubt a better selection.

I think you've got the correct plan. I was in town with my Grizzly 600 getting a flat fixed and asked Sammy about getting tires. He said to bring
them down, it's cheaper than what he can get them for. So I did and had him put them on.
