Meling to Mike's
Talked to Sal Fish of Score today in Valle Trinidad, He said he had just come from Meling Ranch to Mikes Sky Ranch today. A couple of bad spots but
they got thru. He had 2 F250 Super's with all the usual stuff.

I asked Sal about getting thru after he told me they did, having heard reports as recently as last week it was impassable. His reply was " had a
couple of tough spots, but we got thru OK." I would think the jeeps you had to try the Los Hemes run should work - his F250s were raised etc but
nothing really exotic.
I've been gone, how was that run squarecircle?

Meling to Mike's
Greetings bajalou, >>>> Since those monster trucks made it thru I can only assume smaller ones can also. My attempt to cross using Los
Heme wash was halted at the 13 mile mark from Mex 5. The scooter guys say they marked 7-8 miles. There were no signs of old 4 wheel tracks past the
first challenging obstacle. We got skunked, scratched, dented and tyre flatened ( large stick into sidewall) but it really was very beautiful in
there. The Placer de los Perita/Zamora route stopped us at aprox. 4 miles. A long time resident of Puertecitos tells me he knows someone who drove
thru and across some years past but of course he couldn't remember his name! Those camarones sure were especial at Alfonsina's. >>>>Best
regards, >>>> sq.

Hola squarecircle - sorry to hear you got stopped so soon. But of course, the camaronies help make up for it. My map shows 2 Los Hemes, one a couple
washes south of the Matome before Puertocitos and the other just below Castillo. Is that (the southern one) the one you took?
We keep hearing of someone who talked to someone who knew someone who drove across but don't just know where (or when). I know some locals who took
horses up Canon Cajon till they could see the Pacific and Sea of Cortez but they tell me thy can't make the trip now because of washouts by Nora and
other storms. Think it took a couple days each way.
Good luck on you're next exploring adventure bajalou
