Practical and Functional, Grey to Black
On my way back this morning from Guadalupe I stopped and bought some pots in Tecate like I always do.
My favorite place upgraded their bathroom.
These chicinadas make me smile and figured there are a few left here who might appreciate itheir upgrade so here it is.

That is actually a good idea! The water is used twice, and people are encouraged to not only flush the toilet, but wash teir hands as well.
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

I forwarded this post to my son in Anchorage, who is a plumber, and asked him if he had ever seen one. He told me that about twenty years ago, he saw
one in Bethel Alaska when he was working out there.
He believed that it was something crafted by one of the locals, because there sure as hell is nowhere to buy something like that in such a remote
village!

That is pretty fancy, and luxurious in comparison. I have traveled much in countries where you squat to chit in a bowl in the floor, and wash up from
a bucket of water.

In many bathrooms here in Turkiye (they officially changed their name today), one has the option of the squat or western style toilet.
