Ensenada highway closures
Do the highways mentioned in these articles affect highway one traffic through Ensenada? I don't quite understand what's going on.
The stories are about a week old.

I just see Highway One, south from Ensenada mentioned?
Just more reasons to use Hwy. 5 (unless your destination is between Ensenada and El Rosario, then you're out of luck).
Thanks for the news.

One of the articles starts with:
"Un grupo de manifestantes bloqueó la carretera Chapultepec- Maneadero, mejor conocida como “Tramo de la muerte”."
"A group of protesters blocked the Chapultepec-Maneadero highway , better known as the “Death Section”."
Where's that? Highway One near Maneadero? Why call it “Tramo de la muerte”.?
Apparently, there are protests and highway construction slowing traffic. Where's the construction? Why the protests?

That's near the turnoff to Estero Beach, north of Maneadero, right?
“Tramo de la muerte”?

OK, I think I understand. There is major highway 1 construction between the Estero Beach (Chapultepec) area and Maneadero to the south that at times
takes a couple of hours to traverse.
Forget visiting Punta Banda from the north until it's finished.

Came thru yesterday and yes it is a mess. Also missed the turn off from the river road and as always fun to find a way back. Long drive from Chivato
in one day!
