A bit of today's news in Nevada County

Something to consider, this is from YubaNet / Happening now;

September 2, 2022 at 10:40 AM Reported solar panels and batteries on fire, residential structure fire, on James Lane off Gayle Lane and Banner Lava Cap Road in Nevada City. Numerous resources dispatched.

Follow up; September 2, 2022 at 10:51 AM James IC reports the fire is contained to the exterior of the structure, just the solar panels. They have knockdown on the fire and can handle with resources at scene.

What I posted is all I know. If any further news presents itself, I will add it.

That's a pretty good profit those suppliers would obtain. But still a lot cheaper for the utilities than building their own battery storage I would guess, given the present hurdles they have to overcome. Lithium batteries seem to have hit a wall on price declines presently. Just ordered a few more for my place and they are a bit higher priced than they were 18 months ago.
