| Grandparents Day 8 27 2022

The wonderful Juan from the Grandpa's senior citizen center in San Quintin

put out a request a couple weeks ago, asking for gifts to celebrate

Grandfather's day (a big day in Mexico). I knew there are groups that

always come over with clothes, blankets and shoes for the men but even

so, two days before, I asked if everything was ready. He said he still needed

to buy food for the volunteers and grandpa's lunch that day. My friends

came thru and sent me donations right away, so I sent the funds to Juan. I

must say, he went all out for the grandpa's. He is a Godsend, no doubt

about it and I feel grateful that I was able to help at the last minute.

Here is the table he and his wife prepared:

I have found even the smallest gesture given on our part, can mean to world to the receiver and it costs us relatively little.

Blanca and Les, you know no other way than to give. The world could use the example you have exemplified many times over.

We have never met in person, but you are the heart and soul of this site from my perspective. If only others here would follow your perspective we
would all be better off.

Beautiful words and thank you! For the record, Les's eyes ROLL BACK just like in the cartoons with all my endeavors - I kid you not!

I really believe that together we can make a better world. Also, together, we can have a bigger impact.

I know for a fact that many here donate and give to BAJA, just are not as public about it as I am. We all fall in love with neighbors and their
families and make their lives just a bit more fun with help.

Except for the grandpa's and a few other exceptions, my focus has always been on education. How blessed am I that way back in 2012, Bajanomads
believed in my dream. Here we are in 2022 and the beat goes on!

 Make it a great day!
