Last Delta IV Heavy from Vandenberg

Watched it streak across the sky here in Carlsbad this afternoon, very impressive. It was heading south-southeast so anyone along the northern coast of Baja must have seen it. Probably one of the most visible launches I've ever witnessed. Watched it for at least a couple minutes and you could see the increasing velocity of the rocket as it progressed. Awesome.

OTOH, my roommate the "space launch nut" after waiting all day to watch the launch, decided to pick up her computer from the local shop about 5 minutes before launch. WTF was she thinking?? Missed the entire show.

I guess that was the last Delta IV Heavy ever to launch from Vandenberg. God Speed, little Keyhole 11 satellite!

Kirk out.

I did not hear about it myself until about an hour before launch, when I got home.

Thanks... It is so much fun to see the lift-offs. Elon will be doing a lot of them in a few more years with his hundred starships bound for Mars!

I think this is what my roommate subscribes to. There was another launch at Cape Canaveral yesterday as well I guess.
