Passed it numerous times, but only stopped once. On that stop I was confronted by a guy who obviously had been there for a while. He insisted that he
knew me... he didn't.
Had a beer and left.
Oh well.

Sorry to hear that, another landmark slips away. I have to admit, I did not stop there on the last couple of trips down hwy 5, but it was due more to
the time of day I was passing through, and I always thought "Next time".
Do you think it was due to a change in the nature of the traffic on that improved highway, or a health issue with the owner?
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Cowpatty is closing effective tomorrow, 25 Jan 2023. It's been a great 26+ year run. Our customers are the BEST. Due to unforeseen circumstances it
is in the best interest to take a step back. Everyone is healthy and well. This is a business decision based on several factors. This page will
remain on line and we will keep you posted if there are any changes. A BIG thank you for all your support and friendship over the years. We will
still be in the campo and look forward seeing you at the "Office". ....Richard

Perhaps another run in with “The Hacienda”! If my memory is correct it happened in the past as well.

On her Facebook page, Richard explains why... posted above yesterday. It does, perhaps, leave other possibilities as an option. Patti uses the
computer so she relays everything for Richard, who ran the place that was named after Patti (who goes by 'Cow Patty')
