Who has purchased Emergency medical/evacuation insurance?

Has anyone purchased a policy they recommend? (Or recommend against?)

Has anyone used emergency evacuation services from a policy, or to return their vehicle to the US?

Some examples:

I did last year for my PCT, through Garmin, I'll see if I can find what company. One that I've heard people recommend before is DAN, or something like that. Has something to do with divers but you don't have to be one.

I've never had to use any of them but I have DAN, MESA and Binational Emergency (BEMCC). I'm not sure if BEMCC is still in business since I haven't paid my annual dues since 2020. I called em and they said they would check on it but have yet to hear back.

I've had DAN for several years and I'm not a diver anymore.
Same for MESA (Medical Air Services Ass.) I'm a life time member.
I've been a member of BEMCC for several years. Ever since I've been going to Baja.

We use DAN insurance. Never had to actually use it but have had friends that have and works well. You do not have to be a diver or have a diving accident or illness. Check with them as there are different levels of coverage.

Mood: I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
