Mike's to Meling's

Couple of quick things-I'm just back in Mass after 10 days in Baja. Very sad and very backed up on work; mail; etc. Two quick things. We COULD NOT get our rented Suburban from Mike's to Melings. The bikers said it's even an adventure for them. I don't know if a Jeep could make it; but that whale we rented couldn't even make the hill out of Mike's!! We ended up crossing to Mex 1 up at Vlle Trinidad out past the vineyard. Nice drive; but several hours longer than planned. A second thing is that I received 50-60 e-mails from people trying to be removed from a Mexican fishing spammer. I assume it's somehow linked to these boards. Has it been addressed? Also I was not able to log in today; perhaps I've a larger problem than I am aware of. More on the trip when I can get a few minutes.

Last week someone mentioned to me that a friend of theirs had run in to Sal Fish up there and he said it was passable by auto. Either this is one of those 'friend of a friend said' things or there are a couple of ways to do it. Hopefully it is the latter. We will wait till the Baja 500 map comes out to see if the Sal Fish story is true.

I talked to San Fish last Tue. in Valle Trinidad and he said he had just come from Melings to Mikes that morning. He had 2 F250 SuperDuty P/Us raised with the usual Baja stuff added. Said there "were a couple of tough spots"
