4 Backpacks???

Hello Amigos and amigas!

The 7 children Oaxacan family that lives in La Bocana will have all seven in school at the end of August.

They have need of 4 backpacks - 2 for boys in kindergarten and 2 for girls in middle school.

Got room in your heart to donate??? Maybe add some packs of crayons which are so expensive?

You can either visit La Bocana and deliver directly to them - what a good excuse to get off the beatan path!!! or leave them at the yurts in San Ignacio and let me know they are there so someone can pick them up. That will be less than 5 min off highway 1.

6 of the kids just finished school (the youngest starts kindergarten in Aug.) and although the report cards have not come yet, they ALL PASSED! For sure, the tutoring we sponsored during covid made all the difference in the world!

I am also looking for 3 sponsors: One for Jireth (5th grade), one for Hasan (kinder 1) and the last for Saul (kinder 2)...

Sponsoring means funds school materials at $50 - $70 for the upcoming school year starting at the end of August, funds clothes for special events during the school yaer - So, for eample, one month they have to create crazy hats, one month they have traditional dancing clothes and at the end of the year they have graduation expenses.

Here is a photo by a woman who just moved to La Bocana 6 months ago and will try to teach the kids some English!

Our beautiful Jireth - age 11 - in 5th grade

Hasan - kinder 1

Saul - kinder 2

We are in Poland visiting Les's family right now. Here is a photo of Les and I after I got a new wig HAHAHAHA

Thanks everyone!
