This is page two (Visitas) of my 'Quick Look' at the Missions & Visitas page, north to south. https://vivabaja.com/mission-site-photos/

A visita was a mission visiting station, a chapel, farm, or ranch connected to the head mission. Some visitas were mistaken for being missions by writers of the 20th Century. The main difference between a visita and a mission is that the visita did not have a full-time priest or a financial endowment. They were satellite chapels of the head mission.

Here is a new 2023 photo of the Visita de San Regis, connected to Mission San Borja. It comes from the Rancho San Regis family member, Alicia Villavicencio L.:
