missing pangueros in Loreto

We have been told by a panguero friend and another local friend here in Loreto that 2 fishermen left town in their panga about 10 p.m. Tuesday night headed to Punta Lobos to help out someone who was there. (Sorry, I have no clearer info) They have not been seen since, though pangas have gone out in search. The currents at Punta Lobos could have taken them many different directions.
We've been asked to try and find someone with a plane to aid in the search. Any help at all would be appreciated I'm sure.
We are not in charge, we just have access to Baja Nomad. If you have any info or could help out call Roberto Rojas at (cell) 613-105-5837. (He doesn't speak much English) Or call Alvaro Murillo at 613-135-0928. (He is a panguero and speaks some English)

We were just told at the darcena (2 p.m. Saturday) by an employee of the port captain that the men are still missing. Family members are gathering. Hope is dimming.
When we got to our yard, our neighbor said that one of the men was found dead and the other hasn't been found. I suspect this is just the Loreto rumor mill and prefer to believe an official at the darcena.
We all need to hope for a miracle.

A sometimes reliable local source told me some commercial fisherman found one of the missing pangueros on Catalina island, south of Loreto yesterday......alive.
This source said he was found alone in his panga. The motor cover was missing and he was taken to the Loreto hospital for treatments.
He is alive recovering from the ordeal.

There are no other details.

Seems to be true, or at least corroborated from another source.
It is now reported in the Zona Concho news that other pangueros out of Ensenada Blanca found him

We heard the same story at the darcena today. Apparently pangas had been searching all the islands for the last two weeks and planes had been searching the seas. At least two dead bodies turned up closer to Guaymas, but they were not the Loreto fishermen. The official who told us this, also asked a question: where were the fishermen and their panga for the last two weeks while everyone was searching? Catalan had certainly been searched. Hopefully the panguero will recover and tell his story. Right now his condition is too grave to question him.

It's now reported that both the missing pangueros have been found on Isla Catalan....alive.

Alberto Rafael " Chachy " Murillo Murillo and Jesus Manuel " Palomo " Villanueva Osuna have been located both in the vicinity of Catalan Island South of loreto. It is expected in a few moments the arrival of the vessel, which help to "Chachy" during this morning which was located. Confirmed are back and both with life...

Since Wednesday September 23nd. Almost two weeks. Very strange. Amazing that both were found alive. Interesting that other bodies were found.
