Victor's is the new San Ignacio restaurant
Intoducing the new kid in town! We did not eat there so one of you will have to rate it.....
It is open all year long, which is why I am posting here. Nonw there is the hotel up from the mission LA HUERTA and this eatery is right in front of
the mission and next to the ice cream shop:
This is Lidia, who just moved back here from La Paz to cook here for her brother, the owner:
Here is the menu:
and a couple close ups:
Be sure to tell them that Blanca from La Bocana sent you ....

Thanks!
Motel La Huerta is very comfortable, by-the-way, and inexpensive too.

I'll check it out in the next 2-3 weeks. The old motorcycle is being prepped right now.
There have been a couple of other's in that location that didn't last, I hope this one does. Prices look excellent, especially at the current
exchange rate.
BTW, by far the best seafood I have had in that area is at Quichule's on the highway next to the military checkpoint.

I wonder if this is Victor who has been bouncing around the area for 20 years that I know of. Cooked at Campo Rene, ran an excellent food stand in
the square etc.

I will have to check it out especially the fish veracruz style, my favorite. Thanks Blanca for the tip.
Kurt I'll have to check the other place out too, hopefully in the next couple of months.

I am so glad so many of you are going to try it out. There is a real need for a good year-round eatery in SI

Ate here Saturday night. Had a truly good meal. My wife had perfectly cooked shrimp in garlic butter and I had the house special fish cooked in foil.
Excellent dinner, especially since Tootsies in not open for the season yet.

Now that is a real upbeat, positive, restaurant review. Sometimes it is better to say nothing.

Methinks he's just calling a spade a spade. We ate there - dreadful. The fish was fresh when it left Ensenada......by burro.
Every beautiful beach in the world needs a few condo towers - NOT.

Oh I am so surprised to hear that??? I specifically asked about the fish and it comes from La Laguna and is delivered every 3 days.
Even thouugh Vistor has probably been around as you all state, his sister the chef HAS NOT.
Keep the reviews coming and once I am back in town I am going to make it a point to go by there and check the food out myself. Now I am curious.

Does anyone know the hours of operation for Victor's? Any days they are closed?

Had breakfast there a couple of weeks ago with some fellow motorcyclists from Mexico City, we all thought it very good and the coffee excellent.

No Victor in sight
Four thumbs up on this one. The lady cooking has real ability and a great attitude. Who ever selected the fixtures and furnishings at La Huerta has a
real sense of humor.
