How long will your trip be?
Any stops you plan on making?

welcome to Baja and Bajanomad! You will surely meet many folks along the way!
I recommend EL JARDIN in San Quintin the first night.
Perhaps LA HUERTA in San Ignacio the 2nd night.
someone will have to take it from there ..... Ciudad Constitution? La Paz for the 3rd?
Have a blast and let us know how it went when you are done!

We're leaving on 3/28. We'll be staying the night in San Quintin at Hotel Jardines or Hotel Mision Santa Maria. They have a security guard watching
the parking area.. The next day we're only driving as far as the Bahia de los Angeles turn off which is about 200 miles past San Quintin.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

(1) sure, the places at san Quintin are fine, but my favorite is to go another hour to el Rosario (just past a military checkpoint as you are headed
south) to the BajaCactus hotel. you and your stuff would be fine there.
(2) if you have room, I live in Bahia Asuncion (totally worth a 2 1/2 hour roundtrip from Vizcaino) and am looking for a ride south around the
beginning of april. could meet you in Vizcaino, tho.

looking
If no caravan in sight for you, I suggest the next. Go early at sun-up, gas up often, Ensenada, San Quintin, El Rosario, just to make sure cause after
that is some hours drive to Guerrero Negro, ( if you mess up on gas there are small ranches that sell gas out of steel barrels you'll see the signs
for gas)where I suggest you spend the night, it's about a 10 hour drive from Tj to G.N. There are nice hotels food and gas, fill up in the late
afternoon when you get there or in the morning. I like Malarrimo hotel and restaurant, good food nice rooms nothing fancy but good for a weary
traveler, nice rates too and inside parking on their big yard. From there it's like another 10 hours to La Paz, with San Ignacio Santa Rosalia,
Mulege, Loreto, Ciudad Insurgentes towns along the way with food, gas and beautiful beaches and if you decide to stay in any of them I suggest Mulege
outskirt motels or Loreto. From La Paz You should spend the night there if it's getting late, if you do. Stay at motels by the malecon with inside
parking lots, cost more but its worthed..take the hwy to Todos Santos, much shorter and good hwy, from there to Cabo San Lucas. That's what I've done
and driving 65-70 and stopping to get a good meal, rest a bit. Dam!! I wish I could go now! Have fun
