How soon investors forget.
Some hucksters tried to run that rail line about 10 years ago. It failed.
If it was viable route, the big boys like Union Pacific would be all over it like white on rice.
The pr team was rolling out ex mayor sanders and county supervisor Roberts, a sure sign the project is as mediocre as its promoters.

Did you actually listen to the KUSI report Goat?
Tacomas (and other products made in Baja) will be shipped out by train to the east instead of trucks using the Tecate border and our highways.

Dk, did you know the carnival barkers tried this 10 years ago, and it failed,... Did you notice how the pr did not mention that?
Btw, I don't watch kusi as a matter of principle, but I did read the newspaper articles.

Of course, I have been an admirer of the San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railroad line since I was a kid.
Did you know that it was the first train line to cross an international border, underground? It was built over 100 years ago and financed by private
money to benefit the people of San Diego.

This was just added:
June 9, 2016: Baja California Railroad subleases the Desert Line Railroad, cutting PIR out of most operations and repairs. The sublease terms require
a $1 million or 7% of gross revenue annual payment (down from 15% in the previous lease) to MTS. The new lease terms also revised the schedule for
line repairs, with a 10-mile stretch from Coyote Wells to Plaster City now slated to open by the end of 2017, with the section from the border to
Coyote Wells to be repaired by April 15, 2018 and complete repairs by December 21, 2018.
