Joaquin's Cactus Restaurant in La Bocana
We always go to Joaquin's whenever we can get a group together and last week we went twice!
Most of you know him and have eaten his consistently delicious food but this review is for those who haven't - and also is an update since he has
done some remodeling (if you haven't been here for a while).
Joaquin only opens with reservations since he works as a fisherman for the cooperative. His phone number is 615 156-0041. Meals run $20 for fish
and $25 for lobster when he has it.
There is no menu, he asks what you like and puts together a meal based on what you say. In 12 years we have NEVER been disappointed.
Here is the new front:

Here is the porch and front garden:

Here are some of the 7 dogs he now owns:

His famous salad, some fish he made in a new way and the delicious fried fish and callo de acha....

Shari - you MUST come visit one day, bring the ladies over and we can have a girls day outing! You will enjoy meeting the local gang. Maybe I can
get Joaquin to make us lunch (he only does dinners normally),
Can't wait to have you back jbcoug!

The joint would look better if they scraped the trashy stickers off the door.

that's a great idea...we WILL do that one day when more gals are in town. I'm sure Juaquin will do a late lunch for us! sounds like fun.
