Yes.
But not telling.
Not a lot of dunes in baja. You’ll figure it out.

10 or 15 years ago, there was no border fence separating Mexico from Buttercup (the section of Algodones dunes on the south side of I-8 freeway in the
Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area). Once into the major dunes, there weren't even markers for reference. The biggest bowl on that side of the border
was commonly called "Mexican Bowl", at least by the crowd of regulars that I hung with. Big enough for buggies to take in 4th gear. A tall steel
fence, erected across the dunes put an end to the "accidental" visits to Mexico. Youtube videos indicate that the Mexican side has become a popular
recreation area, accessed from Mex Hwy 8.

biggest dunes
South of Abreojos.Circa 1984 use to go down every year in june to windsurf & ride we would ride bikes down to lagoon then load bikes on panga
theyed take us across lagoon then ride mud flats to the biggest dune in baja.google earth it. took 600r to make to top. was a blast. Have a place in
bola now and have been trying to get my old fart buddies to ride our quads across the penisula down to abre and back. I have been all over the seven
sisters riding and surfing. Fun dunes over there nothing as big as the one south of abre.

I didn't type "bonehead". I was going for "richard" head, but the BN censors got me..."donkey"hole seems appropriate too.

Ok, I am an avid dune rider. South of Route 8 was very good until the wall went up (sigh). Looking at Google Earth, it looks like there are some
fantastic dune ranges around Mag Bay. I have not been there yet, but it's on my short list

the biggest tallest dunes I have seen in Baja are out along the mouth of Laguna Ojo de Liebre NW of GN and a bit inside the lagoon at a place they
call La Ventana. They are inaccessible by vehicle so pristine!
