Mexico Prawn Fishery CLOSED!! ..fer real!? <;~O

 Is this for real?

Mexico Sets Temporary Ban on Shrimping in the Pacific

Mexico City – The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Commission (CONAPESCA) has published a temporary ban on fishing for all species of shrimp in
marine waters under federal jurisdiction on the Pacific Coast, Gulf of California, and all lagoons, estuaries, marshes and bays in the states of Baja
California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, and Colima, beginning at 8:00 am on March 15, 2019.

In a statement, the agency explained that the purpose of the ban is to protect the period of reproduction and maturation of shrimp populations, which
are of particular economic and social importance to Pacific Coast fishing communities.

Sampling conducted by the National Fisheries Institute (INAPESCA) shows that brown shrimp currently present a healthy status, blue shrimp are in a
process of recovery, while white shrimp require management measures because, due to overfishing and environmental factors, the population of this
species of the crustacean evidences a critical decrease in the density of brood stock that could affect next season’s harvest.

After four hours of discussion between authorities and the productive sector, it was determined that the technical recommendations made by INAPESCA
were necessary to maintain healthy shrimp production in the next harvest season. So, in accordance with the policies of collaboration to increase and
guarantee food production, CONAPESCA established the temporary ban on fishing for all species of shrimp in the Mexican Pacific.

The publication states that CONAPESCA will announce, in advance, the dates of the shrimping ban’s completion, which will be determined by further
research and biological samples performed by INAPESCA for this purpose.

ohh,, answered my own question. <;~l

''When the season is closed in Mexican waters, the boats simply move out of Mexican waters. If they even bother doing that. ''

Easier to blast the foreign pirates out off the water this way.
Time for the Mexican Navy to steam those Corvette's out for some target practice.
Look for a red flag with a star or a white flag with a red ball. And shoot. If no flag, shoot.
Thank you.
I would like to contribute to sailor's fund for every pirate scalp they fly on the mast.

Viva Mexico!

I think these jobs are taken.
Must be time for "murder each other off" season again...

Thank you Blanca. I hope this helps restore the shrimp fishery for sustainable and delicious shrimping.
You deserve it

Too many people in this world.
How do we cull the herd?
Let’s get rid of the selfish, save the altruistic, get rid of the conservatives (by definition stuck in one old gear), and save the liberals (by
definition libertatious).
Then we can all fish/eat shrimp at will.

our version of capitalism is defined by "more". More sales - more profit. Only if the population grows you can sell more. You gotta keep those people
who have already too much happy

That is developement. Like a house builder... is he ever done?

Sustainable capitalism would replace what is consumed but not increase the quantity. Higher value, less quantity.
Tear an old house down and build a new one.
It works because the new house is better and creates value.
It is worth more than the sum of it's parts.
That creates something. A profit.
That is sustainable growth (money) verses unsustainable sprawl.
The spawl creates very little profit. High volumn low return.
It runs out of steam when it runs out of cheap resourses(land).
The builder goes bankrupt and runs out. The houses are showdy and too densly spaced.
The infastructure is inadequate.
It goes down hill fast.
The demographic changes and what money is left high-tails out of town.
Unless there is a housing bubble. That's when everyone who owns property think they did it with their own superior intellengence.
Until the bubble busts...
Like soon because we are not letting unfair trade deals. That will stop the stolen money from coming back here and inflating housing prices... for no
sustainable reason.
It is already starting...

Shrimp will still be on the menu...
Just now will cost what they should.
In one of the links I posted it mentions that.
Shrimp is more expensive in San Filepe. So locals eat harburgers and are unhappy about it.
