southbound inspections a month away
"Permanent southbound inspection booths coming to San Ysidro this summer. The San Ysidro Land Port of Entry (LPOE), Phase 3 project is designed to
address travel delays that will come due to increased inspections on southbound vehicle traffic entering Tijuana via the I-5 / Chaparral border
crossing into Mexico".
The southbound Interstate-5 will be expanded from 5 to 10 lanes in addition to the installation of 10 new inspection booths. This project will include
new southbound primary and secondary vehicle inspection canopies along with access roadways through the LPOE to and from Mexico.
The project also includes the expansion of the northbound primary vehicle inspection canopy and will create 8 additional lanes with 15 northbound
inspection booths.

I walked back into US a few months ago, Fri. 6pm, Hwy 5 going
so. all lanes full going into TJ, as far up 5 as one could see,
3 mi.? Have been searched walking into TJ by SD Cops,
they typically say they are looking for firearms, and the
are you carrying over $10,000 US currency. XRay showed
a suspicious object in my bag, a banana

How long will it be before all the crossings are gonna have a strip search going in. Just another point of intimidation.
And why would SD cops care if you are taking firearms into Mexico? Not their concern or job to prevent.

David, respectfully, will you please STFU about how the left is so ef’ed up and the right is so perfect? If you stop and look at the big picture,
goat’s comments are pretty spot on. It’s all campaigning at this point and it’s doing nothing to further international relations, not only for
us and Mexico but the rest of the world too. People all over the world are laughing their azzes off at us.

Years ago when I crossed the border by bus from San Diego headed south, the cops came on the bus and asked each of us if we had $10,000. I looked
at her and I said "I WISH!"
They also asked if we had any weapons.
I believe this has been standard procedure for a while, at least on buses.
