What are you paying for a liter of reg unleaded?
And where are you in Mexico?
I just paid 17.95 at an Arco in town. I dont think it's gone down more than a peso per liter. But I havent been paying much attention before the big
oil price collapse, because it never really moved at all in the last year.

Seems like you might be able to get about 24.5 pesos to the dollar right now. At that exchange rate, a gallon of unleaded is about 2.77 US.

San Felipe BC 17.99 a few days ago, haven't seen today. Mexicali this past Monday I saw a place or two @15.5 but most were still low 17's. Imagine it
will go a little lower soon.

Assuming a price of 17.50 pesos per liter, the price of gasoline would be 4.60 Canadian dollars per imperial gallon.
You're welcome!

Remember in +/- 1975 when the USA was going the embrace and use the metric system?
The subsequent blowback resulted in scrapping the idea.
That was a telling moment for american culture.
imo , one of the early indicators of our declining status.
Well, im off for some dessert riding on my DRZ 24cubic inch

Flan? Banana split? Hielados frutas? Sounds messy.
I once had a cream pie fight on my birthday 1974, with losta people. It was a blast!

We rode our scoots to Oside Harbor and back today, saw gas as low as $2.45 at Mohsen on 101. Cops shutting down the parking lots and beaches in some
areas. Looked like the state beaches were closed, maybe not all the city beaches. Very strange times.

Getting Gassed with no Place to Go
Here we are in Petrol Paradise being told to stay home or else !
Having weathered the '73 and '78 craziness and anticipating the inevitable coming chaos, I've been making a point of topping my tanks upon return from
each of my infrequent trips out of town.
At fairly empty stations.
Kind of funny, isn't it ?
Speaking of the Metric System ................ I have a (typically authoritarian) German friend who used to harp constantly on the
failure of the U.S. to adopt the SUPERIOR system.
Which I would usually answer with a version of "Look, we kicked your Ass in two world wars and put a man on the
Moon using OUR system of measure. Where's the problem ? "

That should illustrate to him that the system used everywhere other than the US clearly sucks. BTW the moon landing was a long time ago.

At today's exchange, that comes out to $3.07 gal, which is far better than I paid for diesel earlier in the month in the East Cape. With the 22.05/L
at 19:1 rate, that was $4.38/gal.
