CBX Mex Immigration

Anybody know if Mex immigration is issuing free FMM (via CBX) for travel of 7 days or less. Otay Mesa crossing has been making you pay for the 180 day
and the Tijuana airport Immigration is doing the same thing. Some folks will not need the six month FMM.
Thanks

Since you didn't get any 1st hand info, this is what I
believe is the case. There are 1 or 2 outfitters that run
fishing trips to Cedros Isle, a ways out from of G Negro. They
have smallish charter planes that leave TJ airport. Clients
walk across the CBX and return that way. It is my
understanding they get free 7 day fmm's for their 5 day
package trip. This is a private charter, guessing flying Volaris
would be the same, no guarantee

last time i flew via cbx (3 mons ago), under 7 was free.
if the rules change, they will tell you

one time i went on a 7 day trip via cbx, and they made me pay, saying "6 days free, must pay for trip that uses any part of 7th day."
not worth arguing what "7 days or less" means... you wont win the argument.

they determine trip length based on your roundtrip ticket documentation. if you fly on a one-way ticket, they say pay as if over 7 days, since 1-way
ticket does not show a linked return flight. learned this when i flew south to pick up a car, and they said no RT ticket, we dont believe your claim
of under 7 days trip. aqain, you will never win the argument.

Went through CBX last week on a 5 day trip and we were issued free 7 day FMM. I wonder if they are still making people buy 180 day FMM through the
other crossings on a 7 day trip.

We crossed via CBX for Thanksgiving week. Flew to Cabo via Volaris and all 6 in our party were provided free 7 day FMM’s.
