UTV SxS Anti-Theft Theft Deterrent
Looking for constructive feedback on Theft Deterrents, Anti-Theft, and UTV Trackers for Mexico…
The new Polaris RZR is equipped with the factory P.A.S.S. Anti-Theft System https://rzr.polaris.com/en-us/self-help/article/KA-03019/ but I’m unable to find any online reviews etc as to how well it actually works.
This aftermarket Anti-Theft System looks interesting http://www.ravelcobaja.com/product/ but I wonder if it would just be a kind of duplication of the Polaris P.A.S.S Anti-Theft System.
I also wonder if a quality Satellite GPS Tracking System would be a good investment_ In hopes of trying to track & retrieve immediately if stolen_
With motion detection notification, etc.
Lastly, I’m wondering if an Anti-Theft Shift Lock might make it a bit harder for potential thieves to simply push, pull, or tow the UTV away.

I did send an email, documenting & requesting assistance, to that General Manager_ NADA 👎🏼
I also have this response from Polaris Industries:
“ We've created a case for you and a specialist will be reaching out within 1-2 business days. Your case number is C-xxxxxxxx. If needed, you can
reach your case owner by calling 1-800-POLARIS and using the case number we provided you with. “
Lastly, I am communicating with PROFECO & Condusef, for the Dealership violation Mexico Consumer Protections_ NORMA Oficial Mexicana

In short…
After hours & days of getting nowhere, repeatedly being told I had to pay the supposed price increase, I was told to either pay it & fully
secure/own my RZR or they were simply going to immediately sell it to the other customers waiting to buy it.
So, I paid & we will see what happens with my ongoing fight for ju$tice… “Eso Pasa!” jajaja :/

What are you going to do with tracking data after unit is stolen?
Do you think cops will rescue your cart?
Are you gonna go Rambo and rescue your cart?
I would insure it, lock it up when not in use, and if stolen seek reimbursement thru insurance.

~ Possibly. I hear we may be surprised what a smile, a little Spanish, and a modest ‘propina’ can do.

I am currently trying out LandAirSea asset protection. Monthly charge for service. I can move it from vehicles, toys, and watercraft.
I feel the same about a propina and a smile for local authorities or I know some not so nice guys always looking to make a few pesos.

A cost-effective anti-theft device is a hidden toggle switch to cut off the fuel pump. The switch can be hidden almost anywhere, but perhaps best if
reached by the driver, while strapped in. I don't rely on just one anti-theft device. Rather, a combination of devices to protect my toys. At least
one visible deterrent is good, such as a steering wheel "Club". Adding an audible alarm may be an effective deterrent, though more difficult to
conceal on an open vehicle. Does your RZR have a quick release steering wheel? They fit nicely under a pillow, lol.
Of course, a problem with motos, ATVs and UTVs is that the thieves can load them onto a pickup or trailer, or steal your loaded trailer. Locks, cables
and chains can be defeated by the determined meth addict. So, when all else fails, you will have insurance.
