2 weeks enough time for relaxed road trip from Tijuana to Todos Santos/La Paz
I'm traveling with my girlfriend from Tijuana into Baja for the last two weeks of the year. I'm wondering if it is reasonable to try to make it all
the way down to La Paz during that time given we will be driving? We're looking to explore, surf, and just have a good time. But I know those are long
driving distances and I'm wondering if people have done that trip within two weeks or if it's too breakneck. Thank you!

Three weeks is about the shortest trip I have made when going as far as La Paz, but I start my trips from a full day's drive north of you. If two
weeks is what you've got, I say go for it!
Keep in mind that your two-week period is a favorite time for Mexican families to go to the beach. Not only will there be tourists from mainland
Mexico, a lot of families from the Pacific coast of Baja will be visiting the relatively warmer Cortez side for the holidays.
If time is zipping by too fast on your road trip, start an argument with your girl friend. Time will seem to stand still for a while!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Well, I have done the drive several times, alone, and it took me 2 and a half days of daylight driving to get from the border to Todos Santos, with no
lollygagging about or stopping anywhere except to sleep and eat. So you should figure 5 days total driving and the rest of the 2 weeks is playtime.

See my 15 days in Baja trip report of 2012. That was to the tip and back. A combo of camping and staying in motels or in guest rooms. Lots of sites
and activities enjoyed. Maybe our finest Baja vacation. Besides the Nomad trip report, I made a website for it: www.vivabaja.com/712 (July 2012).
Use my website VivaBaja.com to plan your trip. See my Baja Bound trip reports and web pages (2016-2018) in a link on my page.
