Thanks for posting this, David.

Great article on Mission San José de Comondú.

I didn't know the road up from the south had been paved. Should be an easy taxi ride from Ciudad Insurgentes or Ciudad Constitucion. Maybe a nice bike ride?

Hi Harald, I have that magazine and those photos are my scans. I emailed Baja Bound about the Meling misspelling and Daggett too, one time.
They told me thanks and said they fixed it.
I will get the mule trip date for you. I think it was 1963?

Harald, indeed the trip began in December 1963 and reached Cabo in May 1964.
The magazine was the July-August 1965 issue.
Seem to me I posted the full story pages here on Nomad some years back..?
If I find it, I will bump it up.
