ARMED CONFLICT IN SAN JOSE DE MAGDALENA
#AtTheMoment ARMED CONFLICT IN SAN JOSE DE MAGDALENA
Anonymously received a report to this newsroom, by the inhabitants of the town of San Jose de Magdalena Municipality of Mulegé, in which they report
that on Tuesday 29 April at approximately 15:00 hours, they entered the vicinity of 6 pick up trucks with the around 10 men in each of them, who were
strongly armed, with tactical vests and hoodies, who violently broke into several ranches in the area, which they mentioned were looking for
counterparts in the area, report there was a confrontation, in the place known as the canyon de Guadalupe or the Mission of Guadalupe, in the part of
San Jose de Magdalena, place where burned vehicles in addition to report were found in the place, requesting the support of the authorities since the
day of the events the bodies were thrown after of the showdown.
Since Wednesday, a strong operation has been carried out among all the orders of the Government, SEDENA, NAVY AND STATE POLICE, thus shielding the
population of San Jose de Magdalena.

De manera anónima llega reporte hasta esta redacción, por parte de pobladores de la localidad de San José de Magdalena Municipio de Mulegé, en el
cual informan que el día martes 29 de abril aproximadamente a las 15:00 horas, ingresaron al rededor de 6 camionetas tipo pick up con al rededor de
10 masculinos en cada una de ellas, los cuales iban fuertemente @rmados, con chalecos tácticos y encapuchados, quienes irrumpieron de manera violenta
en varios ranchos de la zona, el cual mencionaban andaban buscando contrarios en la zona, reportan hubo un enfrentam¡ento, en el lugar conocido como
el cañón de Guadalupe o la mision de Guadalupe, en la parte serrana de San José de Magdalena, lugar donde quemaron vehículos además de que
reportan se encoentraban personas f@llecidas en el lugar, solicitando el apoyo de las autoridades ya que desde el día de los hechos los cuerpo$
quedaron tirados después del enfrentam¡ento.
Desde el miércoles, un fuerte operativo se ha realizado entre todas las órdenes de Gobierno, SEDENA, MARINA Y POLICÍA ESTATAL blindando así la
población de San José de Magdalena.

Imagine if I was minding my own business and camped in the canyon out there (as I literally have on an itinerary). This is the reality now. Sad for
Baja and the people in these communities.

Unfortunately, many will keep their heads in the sand and act like it isn't happening. Big changes are necessary to deal with this major escalation of
cartel violence.
