CIA flying covert drone missions into Mexico to spy on drug cartels

Pretty interesting news. Will they fire on the drug labs or just spy?

A better idea. Give drones to MX and let them destroy the drug labs. Round up bad hombres and send them to Super Max Florence.

What I say before any important decision.
F*ck it.

Unfortunately, Mexican government has proven totally incapable of countering the drug cartels.

Trump just ordered US Defense Department to prepare for cartel crackdown.

Sheinbaum has lost control of her country to the criminals.

Hire MX mercenaries, train and arm them. Give citizenship to illegals who volunteer to get the job done.

The problem with mercenaries is that they follow the orders of whichever side pays them. It could be the federales, or the cartels, or both!

Some of you wingnuts seem to fantasize about USA military strikes in mexico because you, your kids, grandkids, friends or neighbors like to do recreational drugs or have drug addition problems.

I dont think usa is going to launch military strikes in Mexico because your grandchild in usa has a drug problem.

If your grandchild has a drug problem, the blame lies with your family!

Stellar information on this website! I'm sure the experts are all observing and taking notes.

All of you (except AK Gringo who has a brain) should be proud of yourselves for providing such a crystal clear example of why humans can't be trusted to solve such a complicated issue!!

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Wrong again, I don't care at all about anyone weak enough to get involved in that lifestyle.

I would appreciate a serious approach to stemming the rampant and out of control violence in paradise (Mexico). Mexico's political leaders have proven totally incapable of doing anything meaningful about the problem.

Maybe Trump can Make Mexico Safe Again!

Not sure exactly but the current trajectory is definitely not going well.... if you are honest with yourself you can see that.

To quote recently assassinated Colombian presidential candidate Miguel Uribe, "Without security, there is nothing".

Perhaps an outside intervention can save Mexico from the grasp of narco violence.

I wrote ''hire'' the mercenaries. That means the US pays them -- and trains and arms them. They don't have to be from MX. S. America works.

Looks like a bunch of you here still haven't figured out that the "war on drugs" is an unwinnable fantasy.
As long as people want drugs, other people will be providing them. And humans have wanted drugs to alter their conciousness throughout history, everywhere in the world, in every culture.

The fact that idiots want drugs doesn't mean the government should help them get them. Liberal policies like "Hugs not Bullets" have destabilized entire countries. Mexico is suffering immensely because of it.

There are a couple examples in South America where taking a strong approach to the criminals has greatly improved the safety and security of their citizens.

No matter what the situation, there will be libs who prefer to accept living with the violent cartel infiltration of Mexico instead of getting tough and killing them like the terrorists they are.
Most Mexicans are sick and tired of the current trend. They will be cheering when these sick cartel animals are eliminated.

Unwinnable? Maybe.

The problem is drugs crossing the US border from MX.

I've stated my solution. Hold MX accountable. Threaten to take out the labs. Sanctions. Tariffs?

Is it unacceptable if drug addicts kill themselves through their own poor choices? I am sure the families of OD-dead are sad,… but is drug abuse the govt’s problem to solve?
Lots of people die from alcohol and tobacco use, but we have not banned those products.
Only about 100,000 die per year from ODs.
Over 400,000 die each year from smoking tobacco.
In perspective of tobacco deaths that govt finds acceptable, I dont see ODs as a problem.

This article states that an estimated 175,000 Mexicans are on cartel payrolls.

https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2023-09-21/how-ma...

Just to give you an idea about the size of the problem.

I also read once that an estimated 450,000 Mexicans live directly off the money generated in the drug trade.

CIA drone missions?
