Gulf of California videos - The Desert Speaks

Good day Nomads!

here are three video documentaries on the Gulf of California. They are about 25 minutes each, and were first released back in 2011;

1 - Sea of Cortez: Then and Now | The Desert Speaks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2WCmSFbSOI

2 - A Visit to Loreto Marine Park | The Desert Speaks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nxallp8L0n0

3 - Espiritu Santo Island in the Sea of Cortez | The Desert Speaks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8jXSvD5Edw

Some of you "old timers" might remember Tim Means, who started Baja Expeditions: https://bajaex.com/our-history/

Tim's in one of the Desert Speaks videos linked above. Here's a very short video, called " Tim Means, Adventure Travel Pioneer in Baja California Sur"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCxGxWNn4QI

"Means was a true pioneer for regional eco-travel and citizen science in the early 1970s in Southern Baja; the fisherman talk about days when they were the only ones at the islands, “Well, us and Tim Means,” an old timer remarked at a recent park symposium." Unfortunately, Tim passed away back in 2019. Another true Baja Legend that left us with such a powerful legacy. Descansa en Paz, Senior Means.

¡Disfruta tu vida cada día!

We need more Nomads like Biznaga to share Baja events and trips and photos/ videos...

Baja Nomad holds huge amounts of such content and history since Doug created it in 2002...
However, it is a bit dated and I think many simply use Facebook to see such things.
Nomad is very valuable for researching Baja and I have been bumping up old posts to inspire involvement.

Thank you, Biznaga!
