Yes, several errors... Maps do have them, often as a copyright protection! The AAA Baja map cartographers intentionally named odd mountain peaks after
family members, etc.
Still an interesting map, for 1914!!

Sometime between 1914 and 1925 somebody figured out that the map shows the location of Catarina and not Catavina. La Sierrita appears on the 1925 map
right where it should be, next to Catarina.
Catarina is correctly shown on an Arroyo that drains into Arroyo Santa Catarina. Mina Luciana makes an appearance on that 1925 map as well.

The location of Catavina is shown on the map, it just isn't labeled. It's shown correctly on Arroyo Catavina .
It's the intersection just above Las Palmas. The trail shown from there to Santa Maria is today's road out of Santa Ines.

The arroyos may be inaccurate but what is accurate is the order in which places appear on a trail. Makes sense since the information gathered for the
map came from people who followed the trails. This makes finding obscure places on the map easier than one might think. Especially since so many
of the trails are now approximated by roads.

Las Palmas is actually on Arroyo Jaraguay but because Goldbaum placed Jaraguay below Catarina it shows up on Arroyo Catavina on his map.

Here's an intriguing 1774 baja map with lots of hand written notations, do you think it can be downloaded and made easier to look at?

It is cleaned up by geoffff and linked on my page as the '1767?' map. Geoffff called it a 1770 map in his link.
Please confirm this is what you #91 also is.
Thanks Lance!

Looks like #91 is a map with many notes added to the one enhance by geoffff that I have (as '1767?')
Link to #91: https://repositorio.agn.gob.mx/arbol-jerarquico?id=b26b1a17-...
There, click the box near the top "Digitized image gallery" and the map in high detail for zooming in, appears.

Please continue to share your discoveries and I will do my best to preserve them for all the future Baja history nuts that will replace us.
I have been working on updated and expanded mission photo albums, with more photos, INAH and other site plans, plus the chapter on that mission from
my book.. now that my book is 'out-of-print'.
