San Felipe-Mexicali Highway Use Caution

New reports of assault on driver at Kilometer 40 on Hwy5. Reports state female driver was intercepted at night and her car was blocked in. Luckily, she was able to escape but a close call indeed. Photos and story is available online "

This follows days after a woman was assassinated while driving her car thru the Mexicali Valley just east of Hwy5.

Bajanomads use caution and avoid traveling at night.

The U.S. has lifted the travel suspension to Mexicali. Hopefully the Mexican authorities can maintain security.
