I have heard a few good reports on their Baja Expeditioner topo GPS map. When I head to the Baja this winter I am going to purchase one. It seems to
be the best GPSr map I can find so far. If you get one of their maps it would be nice if you would give a little report on what you thought of it.

downloaded one on a 168 Garmin, not U.S. detail but still worth it. Sold that one to the Co-op and got another, 172 Color...man the color GPS is
beautiful...worth the extra bucks..so much easier on the eyes in the sun..

Frank, Neal Johns loves his... when he returns from Australia he will tell you.
I saw it on his Garmin eTrex Legend or ? and it has lots of dirt roads and topo lines... almost like the Baja Almanac in your GPS!

I have the Expeditioner on a Garmin 176C color unit and it is very good. Not perfect yet but very usable and at under $100 it is just about the cost
of a gasoline fillup.

It is interesting that the expeditioner download is using new maps that were done by Mexican cartographers and they appear to be very accurate. The
blue charts are using an old US map that is so innacurate as to be dangerous. So the Expeditioner download is the way to go for finding roads etc.
and seems to be reasonably accurate.

Ok, heres what I found out. I purchased the Expedition map. Shows all of the topography and roads. What it didnt show is pemex stations, taco stands,
missions, local names of things{ example, La Paz cut offroad} etc. All of these bits of information are on the Navigator map. Larry is the author of
the navagator map, and has added a lot of attractions on his own.
He told me that he cant combine the 2 due to licenseing problems. He gives a $15.00 discount if you purchase both maps, which I did.
I loaded them on my new Garmin 276c land and sea package. They overlapped and now I have both on the same screen. Im a happy camper.

that is not nice you should buy it the same way we do then you get all the documentation. if many people do what you are trying to do then people wont
make this kind of software anymore.

I have the LB Navigator and think it is very useful. I use it with the Baja almanac and AAA map sometimes all 3 are a bit different.

Sharing is Caring
What happened to being nice to others?? If I owned the software, I would share it. But that is the problem with the world today, everyone is greedy,
and no-one shares anything.
