Dragon Del Mar in Rosarito?

Has anyone eaten at the THE DRAGON DEL MAR restaurant in Rosarito? What did you think about it? Or can you suggest another really good Chinese restaurant in Rosarito or Ensenada? Just got a craving for some really good Chinese food--don't want garbage, though, I'd rather wait till we go back to the States if there's nothing worth going to around here.

If you want really good Chinese it's Chan's in TJ. (Cross the street West from TGIFridays.)

Really expensive, though. ;D

The best Chinese food in Baja is probably in Mexicali/Calexico. There is a substantial Chinese immigrant population in this area. Great Chinese food/very reasonable prices.

Mexicali is THE PLACE for Chinese food

Sorry cathart I haven't been to Dragon Del Mar but I do agree with bajasteve. The best Chinese food I have ever had was in Mexicali. And not just at one place. That town is full of fine, inexpensive Chinese food. mmmmm that sounds really good right now!!

Dragon Del Mar came from Mexicali from what I have been lead to believe.

We actually tried Dragon Del Mar the other night--was just dying for some take out Chinese food--and it was quite good. We had Pork Egg Fu Young--Excellent, and a very good Kung Pau Chicken, which, unlike the Stateside version, which I never find spicy enough, was quite spicy! This is Mexico, after all! We also had some very good vegetable fried rice. Everything came with a HUGE container of chinese hot mustard, of course! And the dishes came in quart sized containers, not the usual pint size, like in the States--enough for 3 meals! It cost us about $22 for everything, about the same as in the U.S., but we did get much more food.

The Dragon del Mar has had consistantly good food at reasonable prices for years. Really like the decor. The guy who originally owned it also owned a 5 star place in Mexicali.

The best are in Mexicali--no doubt.
