New Gallery in La Paz
La Paz is getting yuppified. Galeria La Paz, on the Malecon & Independencia, a block from 16 Sept., has some of the most beautiful furniture and
art objects I've seen for sale here. Wow! MJS2

Galeria La Paz's first location has been and still is on Reforma between the new tourist bus station and the Irish Pub. The new location has the avant
garde, while the original has more traditional albeit beautiful furniture as well as some Asian Imports.

Villadelfin,
Do you know anyone who has bought furniture at the original location? Are the prices fair for what you get? Any information is appreciated.
Thanks

Geez, this sounds delicious !!! Never thought furniture could make me hungry. I now must go up to La Cholla and chow down, they have very tasty
furniture.

Haven't seen the new shop on the Malecon, but I have been in the original shop many times. They have very nice things, from rustico wood furniture to
high-end rattan, vibrantly enameled wine cabinets, unique lamps, many one of a kind hand-crafted things from mainland Mexico, as well as artwork.
Wood, stone, paper, they have a little of everything. I was surprised to hear that she has some Asian imports now, the owner always prided herself on
making purchasing trips directly to artisans in mainland Mexico for all her unique stock. It's an awesome place to wander through! Especially if you
want higher quality things. I think her prices are fair for the quality, and she has things in all price ranges. Not everything in her shop is for
everyone, but she has a wide range of things & it's hard to get out of there without buying something!

Fabulous store!! Went in there last spring and found 2 paper mache dolls sitting right next to each other ...Maria and Rosa!!! Could not have been a
co-incidence..had to buy them!
Remember, when in Mexico, yes may be no and no may be
maybe!
