Recomendations for RV parks North or South of San Felipe

Plan on doing a RV trip to San Felipe area between March 30 and April 6. I realize this may not be the best time to be in San Felipe, (Semana Santa,
Score 250, Spring Break) so we are looking for places outside the town proper. We usually find places near town but we would like to avoid the
roudiness/noise of Spring Break. This is a family trip and we have four little ones. I've seen ads for Big RV's, El Dorado, El Faro Beach RV,
Rubens/Kikis...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

El Dorado no longer has a RV park. Going to be hard to find a quiet place during Semanta Santa.

You might try Nuevo Mazatlan, KM 32, south of San Felipe, but it most likely will also be crowded during the Semana Santa period. Not sure.

Thanks for the input. Perhaps I should start looking at the map for alternate location. Pacific side, Erendira? BOA? I certainly appreciate the
info.

Why look for alternatives? What is it you want to see or do on your vacation?

Very nice camp also at Gonzaga Bay is Campo Beluga, photos in my trip report from last month...

If you can dry camp, there are numerous, secluded and beautiful arroyos South of San Felipe. Great, clean beaches (hopefully everyone leaves them
that way too). Restaurants and Clinic nearby, or, try Gonzaga as someone suggested -- just a rougher trip after Puertecitos.

Zipitio...

You could try Pete's Camp which is 5 or 6 miles north of San Felipe and next door to Eldorado Ranch. It's a nice clean campground that's right on the
SOC. Has it's own restaurant, hot showers, etc. Don't think they have any RV hookups, but they have a dump and H2O fill-up.

BTW...the ELDORADO RANCH web site says their RV park is open, but will close on May 26, 2007. It's a VERY nice RV park with full hookups, good
showers, etc. Just north of Pete's Camp off the highway.

As Bajalou stated; There is No campground OPEN at Eldorado Ranch.
The one at Beach Club is GONE! Building condos there now and the one at El Cachanilla is now closed to the public as they are SUPPOSED to be building
new pools, offices , business center there!! Do not belive ALL you read on the EDR web site as it is often not up to date!

Thanks all for your advice. Baja Nomad. Kudos. Wifee and I have decided to go despite all the events happening. We were considering cancelling
Baja altogether but hey, life's short. We'll make the best of it.

Pete's Camp will be pretty busy and noisy. You might want to take DavidK's reccomendation on Campo Nuevo Mazatlan. Well signed, 26 miles south of San
Felipe.

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

The SCORE 250 race was moved to Ensenada and it was several weeks ago.
