East Cape fly down

Between the two, La Paz or Cabo, which airport do you prefer to fly into for a stay at the East Cape? Which is closest and how long is the drive?

Thanks,

Dave

register with www.kayak.com and when you do a search select the nearby airports option then take the one with the best price or schedule depending on your needs. I have always flown into Cabo when headed to East Cape because I think they have more flights to choose from and maybe more carriers

We have always flown in to San Jose de Cabo. Not sure where you are going on the East Cape but it is about a 45min to 1 hour drive depending on traffic to Los Barriles. Good road. 1:15 to 1.5 hour to La Paz from Los Barriles.

Thanks for the heads up. Some are driving down others are flying. We are considering picking up flyers from Cabo on the front end of the trip and then flying them out of La Paz on the back end since we'll be heading north for trip back home. We're looking at staying at Verdugos.

SJD is closer but LAP is defenitly easier to get in and out of. As others pointed out there are more carriers and gateways in and out of SJD but ofter better prices to LAP. Beware of an "open Jaw" ticket into SJD and out of LAP may cost a bit extra. Suerte.

ALWAYS flew into SJD. It's just about an hour ride from there to the East Cape and there's plenty of readily available transportation to be found.
