2200, Los Cabos
We lost power about 1500 AFTER the eye had passed! Power was off for about 4 hours. The eye passed right over the top of us. Since 1400 the winds
have moderated considerably and just a light rain. I would say the wind is about 30 to 40 knots from the West. The surf is starting to lay down.
There is a lot of chop, but no big breakers. Very little damage around here and only mild flooding.
Cold Pizza and warm Pacifico for dinner....now that's living!
I believe Judy and the folks in Playita are probably cut off right now. I'm sure the road out there has washed out (as usual) and they are probably
without power. But I KNOW she is fine. The storm was nasty, but not devasting. I have been to her place and she will have some palapa damage, but
the main house is strong.
It will be a couple of days before I can get out there to see what's left of the new marina.
My first hurricane...no big deal. But I don't want to see a Cat 2 or more! Clean up starts tomorrow morning. Nite all.

I spoke to Mija on the phone and she told me that it was"no big deal MOM!" Just a lot of wind and rain.Then my ninieta grabbed the phone and said"aye!
Nana, mucho rain!" Darn cute, and can speak both languages at 3 yrs. old.They battened up , bagged the doors, but forgot to get ice for the ice
chest.Hope everyone else is as lucky and that you all don't get hit too hard.Some rain is very good.... (oh, yeah, mija lives in ,or way above, Cabo)Don't forget to get your icechest filled! No power as of yet in Cabo . 9

Santiago / Agua Caliente area
Does anyone have any idea of what may have happened around this area? There was some mention of a lot of rain up near the mountains near East Cape.
I have faith that my new casa in El Chorro is okay since it was built like a brick s--t house, but with alot of water it would have perhaps ruined
that beautiful new swimming hole that Hurricane Juan made for us last year...or maybe even improved it.
Hope my gardens are enjoying it... ..or maybe not. Just don't know at this
point if my cup is half empty or half full.

Centenario lost power....think it was around 8 PM....somehow I slept until about 1 AM....power was back when I awoke to "impressive"
wind gusts! No rain now, but from the sound of it, these are the strongest winds so far! Power appears to be back to it's usual unstable
level...lotsa flickers & chirping from the battery backup. Too dark to see much outside, but my 7' potted ficus has blown over in the past 10
minutes, and from the direction it fell, I'm going to assume we're getting the backside of the eye, now along with a lot of rain sounds which just
started again. Despite the malecon pictures, all in all, a relatively mild hurricane....THUS FAR....THANKFULLY! Daylight may prove interesting!

Wind from the north. Est. roughly 50 mph. Heavy rain, but nothing unmanageble. Seems like it's going to miss us head-on and is on it's way by.
So,people north of us, don't worry, the worst is over.

at 1AM we got a ton of water for about an hour...
wind wasn't THAT bad...trailers are still here...
(i contacted norad in case we flew over the USA) 
6 am still dark but you can see stars and clouds
some mist off and on

You know, I have been following this thread closely, So
Thanks HUGELY to everyone who posted their reports here, it has been of great value to me tracking from so far South.
As with Sally, I have a daughter down there that if I could get thru a call to her about now would assure me that it was just a little rain and wind,
no big deal Mom, geez, what are you worried about, everything is just fine. Kid's are like that with their Mom's.
So, be that as it may, it is great to get a full house of perspectives from Nomads. Still, I am noting a loud silence from Baja Judy's and North up
the East Cape; which tells me they were hit suffiecent and power must be out and the folks there are more focused in dealing with Henrietta than
talking about her, which says a lot to me.
I fly to Mexico City in a few hours, and won't have the internet access there that I do here. Although, I am sure they are fine and dealing with a
mess, I sure Hope to hear something of Los Barriles before I go.

I'm thinking the power must still be down in TS. The last I heard was at 8:30pm
yesterday when they had a brief period of power back on... wrk said the wind was
howling but no more rain. She thought they had lost one palm and a few cacti... that was in Las Brisas.
Remember, when in Mexico, yes may be no and no may be
maybe!
