 Hi Marie Rose,

Yes, power is still off here (I'm on solar backup).

All is well here. Skies are overcase and there is a good breeze but just a few sprinkles.

Thank you Bob & Susan, Marv and Russ. I hope Henriette has squeezed out all the tears and will spare the river. I believe high tide is around
11am. That should tell us something, unless there is more hanging around the mountains behind Mulege.

This morning I awoke to dense smoke in the canyon behind my house in Nevada City, CA. The moon was glowing orange. Now the smoke is very dense and it
is hard to breath. So far, I can't get any news on the local radio. We are very nervous here because it is heavily forested, very windy and bone dry.
Wherever the fire is, it is over some ridges and out of sight.

So I'm sweating threats to two houses. It all makes me nervous, but I think we have dodged the bullet in Mulege...I hope.

Yesterday you asked about the airport, I just spoke with Javier Martinez, the airport director at SJD San Jose del Cabo international an he sais ai is
now at 100% operation, they still have no electric power, they are operating with emergency generators, this of course with some limitations like no
AC. the building itsef is fine, some minor damage on the estetic of building other than that all ok. Airlines will be starting as normal again, the
only one that changed was the AA flight that overnights, it did not and he also said that airlines like CO will be changing equipment to satisfy the
demand, instead of 737 will use 757 equipment.
Most these people don't speak english, so I can't go on the air with them.
I'm right now trying CFE (electric company). I'll post

Ok, Sergio Armando Fierro, Superintendent for CFE in the Los Cabos area, sais that energy showld be reestablished at 100% by noon today, he also said
that the area of La Playa has not been assesed, since they can not acces the area as of yet, I hope Judy and family are OK, he sais that that
community is very strong when it comes to things like this, precisely because of the fact that they always become incommunicated with this kind of
storm.
(100% by noon, not counting La Playa what % would that be?)

 Loreto 8.30 am

Went through this puppy with ease. Some street flooding but nothing major. And how about not even one power outage
   . Wonders never
cease However, haven't had any water since early last night. Loreto Bay
folks will be smelly this morning. These are the times that we're thankful for installing our cisterns |

| Centenario 8 AM

No rain, light winds, city water not turned on this morning!!
  I need to take a
quick shower to wash off many hours of muggyness, mop up several gallons of water in the living room & hope all the flies that hatched out &
found their way in fly out before the wrath of my swatter & spray get to them! Dogs & kitten are very happy to be back outside & actually
willingly went out....first time in 24 hours they did it WILLINGLY!
Very little traffic on the hwy, so the low areas between here & town are most likely impassable....as is typical. Will head up to Lomas
Centenario area in about an hour to check things out up there. Based on what I see here in the rental PIT, I'd expect that water inside through
windows & under unsealed doors will be the worst case scenario!

I'd say no virgins were sacrificed in the making of THIS storm!

Hi Bob and Susan, thant's quite a stack! How do you keep them all topped off? What does the
rest of your system look like? Don't wish to hijack the thread, we install solar electrical here so I'm always preoccupied by the subject. Send me a
U2U if you like.| Quote: | | yesterday we "hooked-up" some extra batteries... just in case...

It sounds like everyone has decided that Henriette will be taking that sharp right turn that the NWS forecasts, but the infrared loop looks to me like
the eye has reformed and she is tracking straight up the SOC.

Power is still off here in TS and cell phone service is down. Don't know about regular phone service but DSL is working.

My boat house is getting some water inside now and there is still 2 hours before high tide. 2" of sand on the pad out side. Surf seems a bit bigger
too. Much higher surge than John. Still no rain. High wind gust 31mph average around 20mph.

Here in Ejido San Lucas, there is/was very light rain, just enough to cool things down, very little wind. I do not believe there would be a problem
going north from here.

Sky starting to break up as we speak(??).

Storm appears to be doing a landfall south of Guaymas and thankfully appears we have dodged a bullet up here.

E-mail from a friend in Loreto-- sent 20minutes ago-- says it's raining like crazy with high winds. It feels like a hurricane to her.

I'm happy to hear that you folks in the south got an easy hit. Hope Judy is doing well, I would imagine she's ready to tell us about it!

I'm glad to here that everyone seems to be doing OK considering the circumstances. Now if we could just get a "little" rain up here in Mexicali...

We had a decent sandstorm/thunderstorm and a few drops of rain yesterday; but, some real rain from a northern cloud band would be nice.

I continue to put in a good word for the people south/southeast of me. Hang in there.
