loreto
hi, it's me again, picking your brains...
i checked out some of your suggestions for loreto (i have decided to stay a week in mulege, three nites in loreto) but most of the small places are
booked for the time i have earmarked. i have been recommended to look into the large hotels.
does anyone know what desert inn is like? what is the beach like there?
thx!

it's the old La Pinta. expensive for what you get, you can do a lot better. beach 'in front' is a long long run ( a good sized block or more) of
brown sand to the water. not what you would think of as 'beachfront' but there is nothing in front of it so technically waterfront.
why larger hotels?
reality\'s never been of much use out here...

juju A neat place in Loreto is the La Damiana Inn, a bed and breakfast. It's right in the middle of everything.

the larger hotels, because a lot of the small ones are booked already. i am coming during xmas.
i also thought my daughter might like it, since i am the one who likes the reclusive thing, she is a city girl
i will ask the people at la damiana inn.
desert inn is relatively inexpensive actually. it is $237 for 2 people for 3 nites. unfortunately, that is around the ballpark for loreto at that
time...

Have you checked SuKasa? It's right on the malecon, within walking distance of everything. There are kitchens, separate living areas and
bedrooms...nice ambiance.

Juju, you may also want to check out "Coco Cabanas". Nice place with a pool and just two blocks from the malecon.

Las Cabanas de Loreto
Juju,
You should also check out Les and Linda Clark's
Las Cabanas de Loreto. The property is small, secluded, well equipped, reasonable ($80 per night + iva) and has a pool, hot tub, and kitchenette en
suite. They are also located just off the quiet (?) end of the malecon, within walking distance of everything.
