Denist

Anyone know of a good denist in Baja? Web-site or e-mail of denist would also be handy.

Thanks, Fred

Eduardo Telemontes Senior and his son in La Paz are among the best I have ever met. Excellent rates, kind, gentle service and the office is more modern on procedure than many in the US. I can highly recommend them.

I believe this is their office. If not let me know that you had trouble reaching them.

dialing from the US 011-52-1-612-1227343 or from baja 1-612-1227343 and in la paz 1227343

Pretty much any border city will have many dentists and doctors. Algodones (at the border of CA/AZ/Baja has many, and almost exists solely because of gringos going to doctors/dentists. Mexicali and TJ also have many.

I don't know of any dentists here in Mexicali off hand; but, I could ask around if you were interested in finding a dentist here.

In La Paz, I dealt with a wonderful dentist, although he was an orthodontist (going thru middle age crisis and had braces) - Dr. Tuchman. He spoke English very well, his prices were good, and his office space was luxurious. There were other dentists who worked with him though.... Can't remember the street name, but it was right across the street from a French Bistro one street off the Malecon, also just down from the coffee/bakery shop with the Chinese restaurant upstairs. There is a a private off-street parking lot where you can get your car washed inexpensively while you are at your appointment if you wish.

My dentist in Rosarito Beach is Dr. Oscar Avila 011-52-661-612-1383 smileoac@hotmail.com

His office is spotless, and his English is excellent. Both he and his periodontist, Dr. Amelia, teach at the Tijuana Dental College.

Si, but Fred -- if you want a dentist closer to Patty's (isn't there one right next door?), there is a good one in Maneadero. Dr. Cueva -- catty corner from the Quintero Market on the Carretera. No habla ingles but he's got great classical music playing in his spotless office full of some very nice equipment. Teeth cleaned for $250 pesos.

Fred -- everyone here is asking WHERE? In case you haven't noticed, Baja is just a little smaller than Alta......so the WHERE ? is kind of important.

yes, the one down the street from there. I know some of the people at Verdugos gp there. They seem to like it. I was always on a budget down there and they just opened a couple of years ago. So for me it was beer or a sore tooth. Damn that tooth is still sore.

Bajabound..................well I cross at Tecate and head down to Los Barriles until it is too hot and humid, then I head back up the Pacific side. So I can stop anywhere on that route. It usually takes me 4 weeks from Tecate to Los Barriles, so I am in no hurry.
