Insects?

What is the mosquito and insect scene in Cabo San Lucas, Todos Santos, La Paz, Cabo Pulmo, Pueblo La Playa and San Jose del Cabo?

After my experience of being eaten alive in the Mayan Riv in July, I do not want to arrive unprepared.

Since it is dry in Baja and not humid like in the Mayan Riv. is insect repellent needed?

Never leave home without it. Check the facts on weather in different parts of Baja. It isn't all desicated dessert.

With the flight restrictions the way they are, I'd bring some of the towelette wipes. Easy to pack, dont take up much room.

As Karl Malden would say............well, you know. But it's nothing like the Mayan Riv after mid November or so. No see ums near an estuary can continue for a while but just avoid them at dusk and dawn.

There are plenty of mosquitoes still around and no see'ums too.
Bring something and if you dont need it leave it with some surprised local. The local people cant afford repellent and your gift would be greatly appreciated.
