Week end on the other side

We will leave the Bahia this morning and head west to join friends at Punta Banda for a couple of days. On our last trip over in May, we dined at La Fonda several times and it was excellent. We realize that things change down here over time as is the case with Mama's. Does anyone have recent experience at La Fonda? Also does anyone know if Dave ( NY Deli ) has opened a new place?

See ya back in the Bahia on Christmas day. Was it ever settled which date the Christmas Parade of lights will be? Saturday the 29th?

We were there Thanksgiving week and again last weekend and never heard an announcement...

La Fonda is about the same

as when Dymitri left. They've made some changes mostly good ones. The new patios are beautiful . We ate there last night with friends. Our meals were great, No Deli Dave hasn't opened a new one yet. Damn. Wish he would,k:yes:

If you are going to be in Punta banda, try Mario's for dinner. It's on the road to the Estero Beach Hotel. Also, if you want an upscale dinner, try Sano's, near the hotel Coral.

Hi Chuck, the Parade of Lights will be on the 29th. I emailed Randy Baker re trophies but have not heard back. We will see you when you return. Our New Years Eve party is on from 1 - 4 PM on the 31st We will steam up 100 dozen clams and black eyed peas. Bring a pot luck dish and your favorite adult beverage.
We set up the Community Center yesterday for tonights Christmas party for the kids in the poblado. We wrapped over 200 gifts and rehabbed 33 bicycles. Last year 99 kids showed up.
Hi Keri, thanks for the input. If we make it up your way we will stop in to say hello to you and Mike.

Thanks BajaGuy. Two of the people that we are hooking up with are lobbyists involved with the Nevada legislature and spend 6 months in Carson each 2 years.

BajaGuy. I just noticed your Baja CC location. One of the couples that we are meeting is considering a purchase there. They have rented a 4 bedroom house at Punta Banda for a month to see what it's like to live in the area. Three of our neighbors here in the South Campos have homes there and are very happy there.

Thanks for the info on the parade, we have a really nice design this year, going all out as usual.

Wouldn't miss your party for the world! Great get together! A day early this year? Or am I mistaken?

Update on our construction: Beams and Rafters are stained (messy job!)

All walls textured ready for prime/paint.

Damn it looks good!
