There are a couple of cigar stores around Ensenada called La Habana. Maybe they're up there as well.
I've heard that most of the Cuban cigars in Mexico arn't really Cuban.
Maybe Bob H will see this and give you some direction and advice.

In Tijuana, the mall along the river, past the big ball is a cigar place with a walk in humidore... sells the genuine article... I only know because I
was with Lorenzo de Baja who bought some Havanas there for our trip in 2000. He said it was the place that sells the real Cuban cigars. Ferna should
be able to name the place or confirm if it is still there?

The problem with trying to buy a "real cuban cigar" is that you don't know until after you have tried them... and that is IF you have some valid
experience... I have bought fake Cohibas on the streets of Havana and in some places in Spain... having had the "real" ones at the factory... I am not
a fan.... for price and enjoyment I prefer Honduran or Nicaragan maderos(46x7.75) I keep a years supply at my place in Los Barriles just for
emergencies..

Cuban cigars are over hyped, and over priced. Give me a good Dominican made from Cuban seed tobacco. They're half the price and you can buy them
anywhere good cigars are sold in the US.

Tommy - buy them online from this place (not Cubans, but great cigars hand made from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, etc.)
http://www.thompsoncigar.com
They have GREAT samplers! And, at very good prices shipped to your front door. Bring up the web site and click on "samplers", you'll see a great
selection of top notch brands.
Ask for a brochure!

You can buy authentic Cubans at Rudy's Villa Tabacco in TJ on Revolucion by the Gigante food store or there is place in Rosarito, about 2 blocks north
of the Rosarito Beach Hotel on the east side of the main street that sells authentic Cubans.
Even a bad day in Baja is better then a good day somewhere else!

Glad I quit smoking. Not an issue. No more mornings spent coughing and
clearing my breathing tubes. No more $$ spent going up in smoke. Think
about it.

In my estimation Cuban cigars are just overpriced nothing special smokes. It's the adventure of doing something illegal that makes them seem so great.
Buy a good Cuban seed cigar from the Dominican Republic and you got the same thing, legal, cheaper, and tastes the same. You can buy them by the box
off the internet.
