Alan...we got 69.5 inches in January. The most in Jan. in 40 years. The way it came though, it wasn't too bad. We had a big rain in the middle that
kept the depth down, but it was a hell of a skating rink EVERYWHERE for a couple of weeks.
Relative to my geographic position...I thought the operative phrase was "Don't Cali-fornicate Oregon".
I guess I do though. It is nice to save 7.25 % sales tax on the high dollar items.

I'll bet that wasn't measured where the shoreline is NOW. Last trip to Redding the boat docks had moved damned near down under the Lakehead I-5
bridge!! There is a lot of moisture in our snowpack up here...we'll fill it for you.

True North is north of Mt Shasta
I own a house in Yreka and Klamath Falls. I have lived and worked in many different states, but my heart has always been in Baja.
Anything South of Red Bluff is Southern or Central California. I was a transplant from Goleta/Santa Barbara, and used to live in Lake Arrowhead,
Idyllwild, Big Sur, Frazier Park, Fresno, Santa Maria, to name a few Southern California locations....

Interesting 'fact', try to find out how long the Nile or Amazon river is and see how many answers you get.
It appears the the size of the ruler makes a huge difference on the final number.
I say Lake Shasta is about 439 miles.

Skipjack...I'm not sure about starting at San Jose, but I frequently find myself surviving a trip through the city of BAKERSDIEGO.
It can be "interesting" southbound, but after being sufficiently soothed by Baja, it really sucks on the northbound.
I'm still mighty proud to live in a place where many folks never lock their homes unless they're going on vacation, and
I know everyone on my street by name. Its different. The Sheriff's report of every arrest in this little city, and the three communities around it
are published in the weekly paper. It takes 8 or 10 column inches. Oh, yeah and I've got a ski cabin for sale.

There's a speed limit Dude. I invite you to look at it in a different way. If I'm driving as fast as the law allows in the fast lane, I am constantly
passing trucks and other slower moving vehicles. I am also obeying the law. To have it your way, I would have a hectic drive, speed up, slow down,
constantly changing lanes to get out of your way, then back to pass slower traffic and only to help you speed. The price you pay for doing that is
that you have to make all the damned lane changes. It also is great for my fuel economy, and better for my planet. With all due respect, my
judgement. I still love ya man.

I have no idea what you mean. I drive safely at 65-75 and that's what the freeways are designed for. These folks(and mostly seniors) are going 55mph
and no more and no less in the fast lane. I like to keep my truck at it's sweet spot and that means I may be a little faster than some and slower than
others but that doesn't mean I zig-zag thru traffic. B
You can't expect me to follow them while all the others are merging right to pass the slow-poke. 
But really, I see many slow drivers in the fast lane as soon as you turn No. towards Sacto on I-5
Don't worry Perry I end up going slower in Oregon because that's what they do here. I guess we up here in Oregon have much more in common than yer
SoCal brethern. Hey, I like Arny..... and u tu.

I love that part of California. The northeast section. In fact, it doesn't feel like California at all. The Great Basin Desert. A great place to be.
