Baja's Best El Rosario Cafe Bed and Breakfast
Last Saturday my husband Jim and stopped for the night in El Rosario. Baja Cactus was full so we stayed at a Bed and Breakfast that some friends had
told us about on the South end of town. From the outside it didn't look like much, but we were soon very impressed. We were greeted by Edward, the
owner, who made us feel right at home. We drove our truck inside of a beautiful secure court yard that was full of plants and tropical birds. The
back of the property has a lawn area that would be prefect for a large wedding. The cafe was being remodeled to add a new bar so we had dinner at the
house. Yolanda (Edward's wife) made us some wonderful lobster burritos served with a nice bottle of California wine. We were given a large
tastefully decorated room with the most comfortable bed ever. Before going to bed we visited with Edward who is a great story teller, we really
enjoyed visiting with him. When we woke up there was a fresh pot of coffee in the setting area outside of our room. We had a great breakfast
consisting of bacon, eggs, hash browns and beans. What a great place to stop and relax after a long drive. Oh, the best part, my dog was welcome. I
think Ginger had more fun then we did. For what we received, I feel that the prices were very reasonable $50.00, $60.00 or 70.00 dollars per couple
depending on the room, including breakfast. One of the outside rooms will sleep 8 good for large traveling groups.

We have stayed there several times. Very good coffee, breakfast, bed, conversation. Duke, our Lab and Eds black Lab pup, Negra I think it was had a
great time running around out back until Duke disappeared. Found him up the road at the garbage ditch macking out on God knows what. Duuuke!!!
I like the place also from the standpoint of being out of town to the south. Less noise and those chaize lounges out back on the lawn are a great
place to unwind with a cold drink after a long day on the hiway. The bleating goats and sheep out back and the view across the valley are very
"Baja".

The name of his place is Baja's Best, it is a yellow/orange colored building on the south end of town, on the right if you are heading south, you will
see Bed and Breakfast written on the building. Lauri

Excellent stop in El Rosario
We have overnighted in our RV twice now at this nice spot in El Rosario..and so far have enjoyed the experience.
Confession: I am a cheese-lover and committed the sin of adding my own shredded sharp cheddar to my taco order at the restaurant.
May the patron saint of tacos forgive me....

I'm glad to hear the good reviews - always seems to be either breakfast or dinner time when we pass through. We ate there several years ago and
weren't impressed. Guess we'll have to give it another try.

Great place...
Stayed there March 13th....Cactus was full and I was tired after driving down from Newport Beach on my way home to Mulegé...
Great experience, I shall do it again and again.
