Windgirl, that was beautiful-- makes me wish I were a windsurfer/sailboarder/kitesurfer!

We've stayed at the Vagabond Lodge for years when we go through Hood River, I love that river and town.

Great pictures. I notice you have pictures of places that were not here last year. Had pizza at Soltice a few nights ago and it was good.

April and May this year were cold and not all that good. You had to sail a 3.2 or go home. June and July have been good. Have sailed 30+ days so
far in the Gorge this year.

What group did your music?

Windgrrl's music is by Van Morrison. I think Into the Mystic is from an album of the same name, but don't remember for sure.

windgrrl...muchas gracias.

Thanks for posting such a well-done video - and that music track was excellent..Bravo. (By the way, who is Van Morrison? Is/was he related to Marion
Robert Morrison by chance?)

Hood River and The Dalles is a very familiar stop for us. We have fished the river for walleyes near there for about 3 decades now...excellent for
waldo-excitement.

About 5 years ago or so, we watched an eighty-two year old man kite-sail on the Columbia. I am biding my time....

Paula, about 2 weeks ago, we were due to stay at the Vagabond, but ended up at the Columbia Gorge Hotel, which was full of interesting antiques. A
great river-view place with ambiance plus. Next time give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Factoid: Nomad sightings are frequent along this stretch.

Van Morrison wrote the song and sang it like no one else ever will, but that wasn't him. A really nice rendition though.

Pompano, I'm pretty sure Van Morrison and John Wayne aren't related.

We'll be on our way north in an hour or so, and maybe we'll drive through the gorge. The old hotel is beautiful, we've thought about staying there.
The back buildings of the Vagabond have balconies right over the river-- nice to chill out after driving.

Yup - Song by Van Morrison, covered by a fabulously under-celebrated Canadian - Colin James. Dog (Miss Vida) rescued from the SPCA. The Starboard
windsurfer is from Vela Baja. Vela sells their gear off after each season.
